Guernsey Association of Marine Organisations
GAMO is the trade association and voice of the Guernsey maritime industry. We work with our Government, international organisations and others to develop and protect the industry on behalf of our members.
Membership
Membership is open to any professional maritime business that operates in the Bailiwick of Guernsey.
Organisations involved in the Operational, Technical and Crew management of marine vessels are invited to join.
We would also be interested to hear from organisations that whilst not having direct activity in the marine industry have a contribution to make.
Our Objectives
Guernsey has an extensive marine industry that services the requirements of vessels operating all over the world.
GAMO has been created to bring together the services available in Guernsey and to project our industries caperbilities throughout the world's maritime sectors for the benefit of our members and Guernsey.
Membership
Who can become a member
We are keen to promote all aspects of the marine industry based in the Bailiwick of Guernsey.
Therefore in order to become a member, part of your business must be active in at least one of the following areas;
- Vessel Ownership
- Vessel Management
- Crew Management
- Crew Payroll
- Vessel Operations
- Crew Recruitment
- Crew Training
Types of Membership
We have two distinct types of membership;
- Full Membership
- Associate Membership
Full Membership.
Full membership is open to companies or individuals who day to day are actively involved in the direct operation of managing vessels or crew.
Associate Membership
This category is for companies or individuals who give advice or support to the marine industry such as lawyers or accountants and advisers.
